Before heading in, his uncles would stuff the kids’ coats with beer cans to sneak them through the gates. One time they got caught, and the security guard gave them a choice: throw them out or drink them. They chose wisely—downing four or five beers in a matter of minutes before heading inside. That’s the kind of environment John grew up in. Loud, loyal, and all-in.His earliest memories of the stadium—the bright green field and the orange helmet at midfield—locked him in for life.John’s all-time favorite player is Bernie Kosar, and like every true Browns fan, he still carries the scars of Red Right 88, The Drive, and The Fumble. Those moments didn’t push him away—they locked him in.
