Steve | Co-Host, There’s a Gleam

Steve is a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan who grew up on the East Side of Cleveland and now calls Willowick home. His love for the Browns started where it does for so many—watching games with his dad—and was cemented early with heartbreak moments like Red Right 88, a memory that still sticks with him today.A real estate appraiser and business owner by trade, Steve brings a numbers-driven mindset and sharp football knowledge to There’s a Gleam. But don’t expect dry analysis—he mixes insight with humor, personality, and the kind of passion only a true Browns fan can have after decades of highs, lows, and everything in between. As a season ticket holder, Steve has lived the rollercoaster firsthand. From crushing losses like The Drive to unforgettable highs like the 2023 Jets game—where he and John watched the Browns clinch a playoff spot surrounded by pure chaos, excitement, and yes… tears—he embodies what it means to ride with this team no matter what.Off the mic, Steve enjoys boating, cooking, and spending time with his family. He’s a pizza guy at heart, an Italian food loyalist, and happiest anywhere near the water—especially the Florida Keys, with Hawaii still on the bucket list.On the show, Steve brings analysis, humor, and a deep-rooted love for the Browns, all delivered in a way that feels like you’re talking football with a friend. His goal is simple: give fans real insight, real opinions, and something they actually enjoy listening to.Because at the end of the day, being a Browns fan is about one thing:Loyalty.

John | Co-Host, There’s a Gleam

John is a Greater Cleveland native who grew up in North Royalton and now resides in Brook Park, Ohio. A Navy veteran and co-host of There’s a Gleam, his connection to the Cleveland Browns was built early—through family, tradition, and a few unforgettable game day moments. He remembers going to Browns games with his uncles and cousins, all packed into old Municipal Stadium. Before heading in, his uncles would stuff the kids’ coats with beer cans to sneak them through the gates. One time they got caught, and the security guard gave them a choice: throw them out or drink them. They chose wisely—downing four or five beers in a matter of minutes before heading inside. That’s the kind of environment John grew up in. Loud, loyal, and all-in.His earliest memories of the stadium—the bright green field and the orange helmet at midfield—locked him in for life.John’s all-time favorite player is Bernie Kosar, and like every true Browns fan, he still carries the scars of Red Right 88, The Drive, and The Fumble. Those moments didn’t push him away—they locked him in. Being a Browns fan isn’t a choice—it’s part of his DNA.A season ticket holder since 2007, John brings a fan-first, relatable voice to the show—blending analysis, humor, and the perspective of someone who lives every snap. Outside of the podcast, he works as a production supervisor, where leadership, discipline, and attention to detail are part of his daily routine. He’s also a guitarist, a passionate home cook, and a fan of Caribbean getaways—because even the most loyal Browns fans need a reset now and then.John helped create There’s a Gleam to give fans an honest, boots-on-the-ground perspective of what it really means to be a Browns fan—from tailgating to heartbreak to the rare highs. His goal is simple: keep it real, keep it relatable, and never lose the passion. His motto: Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
